PRE-SCHOOL pupils have been jumping for joy about a new play area.
Children from Jumping Beans Pre-School, held at the Youth and Community Hall, High Street, Bean, have benefitted from the outdoor play area after a £2,000 grant.
Parents spent hours digging trenches for climbing frames and planting flowers as part of the four-week project.
The play area is full of recycled materials such as tyres for the children to climb on and a picnic table made out of a wooden barrel.
Money for the improvements came from charity Learning Through Landscapes.
Nursery manager Karen Hastings said: "The children planted seeds
for our plant area and parents donated tyres for swings. It really
brought everybody together."
